Where to buy vintage furniture in London

Looking for unique furniture to build your dream home? Why not try adding some vintage pieces to your home? Here's some of our favourite spots in London to pick up decor and furnishing pieces you won't find in somebody else's home!

  1. AELFRED (Bow) - London's largest warehouse for mid-century Nordic homewares.

2. Gonnermann (Highgate) - Perfect place to find original British and Scandinavian 20th Century design pieces, but you will also find unusual, interesting and decorative antiques.

3. The Peanut Vendor (Bow) - The Peanut Vendor are design dealers based in East London, specialising in the early to late 20th Century furniture, accessories and art-led objects. Make sure you email or call before heading there!

4. The Old Cinema (Chiswick) - This store is full of diverse and unpredictable pieces. This is due to the fact they are sourced from all over the world. One morning the buyers pour over cargo from Scandinavia or the USA, whilst the next day might bring a consignment of glass from Eastern Europe, lighting from Italy, or carvings and textiles from India.

5. Alfies Antique Market (Marylebone) - Nearly one hundred dealers occupy four floors, offering everything from antique jewellery, vintage fashion and accessories, fine art, retro collectables, interior furnishings, textiles, ceramics, glass and silverware and much more.

6. Antique Modern Mix (Chelsea) - offer an eclectic mix of styles and eras, with a range of carefully selected unique and rare pieces from around the world. From Period antiques to mid 20th century furniture, design classics and beautiful decorative items.

7. Second Time Around (New Cross) - Perfect spot to grab a bargain on some second hand furniture. It's a bit of a mixed bag, but you are certain to find some unique pieces here that have been loved and lived.
